Baseball Recap: Centennial Comes Up Short

Monday just wasn't the day for Centennial's offense. They came up short against the Champaign Central Maroons on Monday, falling 20-0. The Chargers have struggled against the Maroons recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Centennial's loss dropped their record down to 5-15. As for Champaign Central, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-6 record this season.

As for Champaign Central, they will be playing at home against Peoria Notre Dame at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Irish will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each matchup than the last.
