Basketball Recap: Sheldon Piles Up the Points Against Elk Grove

A well-balanced attack led Sheldon over Elk Grove in every quarter on their way to victory on Wednesday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Sheldon Huskies blew the Elk Grove Thundering Herd out of the water with a 59-26 final score. The Huskies have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine games by 21 points or more this season.

Sheldon's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Brooklin Kimmons led the charge by putting up 14 points. Another player making a difference was Zoe McAfee, who posted 11 points.

Sheldon is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 16-10 record this season. As for Elk Grove, they are on an 11-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-17.

Coming up, Sheldon will take on Laguna Creek at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Elk Grove does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
