Baseball Recap: Bethel Takes a Loss

The matchup between Bethel and Poquoson on Saturday hardly resembled the 3-0 effort from their previous meeting. The Bruins fell 12-7 to the Islanders. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Bruins of the 3-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2024.

This is the second loss in a row for Bethel and nudges their season record down to 9-8. As for Poquoson, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 9-6.

Looking ahead, Bethel will venture away from home to face off against Hampton at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Crabbers will roll in looking for their 18th straight win, something the Bruins surely won't give up without a fight. As for Poquoson, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Bruton at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Islanders are facing the Panthers at the right time seeing as the Panthers are stuck on a seven-game losing streak.
