Volleyball Game Preview: Bishop Alemany Warriors vs. Loyola Cubs

Bishop Alemany hasn't had much luck against Loyola recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Warriors will challenge the Cubs at 6:00 p.m.

Bishop Alemany is headed into Tuesday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their 13th straight game dating back to last season on Thursday. They lost 3-0 to Harvard-Westlake.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-12, 25-18.

Meanwhile, Loyola entered their tilt with Mater Dei on Saturday with 14 consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with 15. They came out on top against the Monarchs by a score of 3-1.

Loyola had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 27-29, 25-21, 25-12, 25-20.

Bishop Alemany's loss dropped their record down to 0-11. As for Loyola, they pushed their record up to 27-4 with the victory, which was their eighth straight on the road.

Bishop Alemany might still be hurting after the 3-0 defeat they got from Loyola in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. Can the Warriors avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
