Baseball Recap: Chittenango Takes a Loss

Chittenango lost to Jordan-Elbridge back in May of 2019 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Bears fell 7-3 to the Eagles. The Bears have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

AJ Valente made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. He is becoming a predictor of Chittenango's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 2-1 (and 3-6 when he doesn't).

Chittenango's defeat dropped their record down to 5-7. As for Jordan-Elbridge, the win was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 10-1.

While Chittenango had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday.
