Basketball Recap: La Salette Academy Lions vs. Paris Tigers
The La Salette Academy Lions entered their tilt with the Paris Tigers with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. La Salette Academy secured a 45-39 W over the Tigers on Tuesday. For La Salette Academy, this counts as revenge for the 66-37 loss the Tigers walked away with the last time they faced one another back in January of 2023.
It was another big night for Eamon Martin, who scored 15 points along with five rebounds and three steals. He is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last four games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of William Fitspatrick, who scored 11 points along with five assists and three steals.
La Salette Academy is on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 16-5 record this season. As for Paris, they have not been sharp recently as the team's lost six of their last seven contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-17 record this season.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. La Salette Academy will take on the Bluestreaks at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Martinsville focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 19 last Monday. As for Paris, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against the Maroons at 7:15 p.m. Robinson is coming into the game hot, having won their last three games.
