Basketball Game Preview: The Park School of Buffalo Pioneers vs. Canisius Crusaders

The Park School of Buffalo Pioneers will square off against the Canisius Crusaders at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Park School of Buffalo knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past six games -- so hopefully Canisius likes a good challenge.

The Park School of Buffalo is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering Bishop Timon-St. Jude just ended the team's four-game winning streak on Thursday. They took a hard 80-66 fall against the Tigers. While losing is never fun, the Pioneers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 359th, while the Tigers are ranked 52nd).

Despite the defeat, The Park School of Buffalo got top-tier performance from Elijah Greene, who posted 24 points and eight boards. Greene's evening made it seven games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Kamron Barge was another key player, dropping a double-double on 16 points and 11 assists.

Meanwhile, Canisius waltzed into their match on Saturday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They strolled past the Falcons with points to spare, taking the game 53-38.

Canisius is also on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten games, which provided a nice bump to their 16-3 record this season. As for The Park School of Buffalo, their loss dropped their record down to 9-8.

The Park School of Buffalo was dealt a bruising 81-49 defeat at the hands of Canisius when the teams last played back in January.
