Basketball Recap: Irmo Comes Up Short

Irmo lost against Chapin two weeks ago and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Irmo Yellow Jackets took a hard 64-46 fall against the Chapin Eagles. The Yellow Jackets have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Despite the loss, Irmo still got an impressive performance from Abby Livingston, who almost dropped a double-double with 25 points and nine rebounds. Livingston continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Lailah Singletary, who posted ten points.

Irmo now has a losing record at 11-12. As for Chapin, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 12-13.

Looking ahead, Irmo will challenge Dutch Fork at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Dutch Fork will roll in looking for their eighth straight win, something Irmo surely won't give up without a fight. As for Chapin, they will square off against White Knoll at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
