Baseball Recap: Riverheads Comes Up Short

Riverheads has relied on a stalwart pitchers averaging 3.69 runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Tuesday. They lost 10-1 to the Waynesboro Little Giants. The Gladiators were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Little Giants earlier this season, when they won 14-3.

Riverheads is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-4. As for Waynesboro, their record now sits at 6-10.

Riverheads wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, an 11-1 victory against Stonewall Jackson on the 7th. As for Waynesboro, they will host Staunton at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Little Giants are facing the Storm at the right time seeing as the Storm are stuck on a five-game losing streak.
