Baseball Game Preview: Canyon View Falcons vs. North Sanpete Hawks

The Canyon View Falcons will challenge the North Sanpete Hawks at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. Canyon View will be looking to extend their current 16-game winning streak.

Canyon View proved they can win big on Tuesday (they won by six) and on Thursday they proved they can win the close ones too. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 6-5 victory over Cedar.

Trenton Ludlow was a standout: he went 2-for-5 with one home run. Another player making a difference was Jarron Bradshaw, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.

Canyon View hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team has now struck out at least three batters in three consecutive games.

Meanwhile, North Sanpete came up short against Juab on Thursday, falling 11-1. The Hawks have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

North Sanpete saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Preston Madsen, who went 2-for-3 with one run.

Canyon View's win was their eighth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 19-3. Those road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.5 runs on average over those games. As for North Sanpete, their loss dropped their record down to 8-11.

Everything went Canyon View's way against North Sanpete in their previous meeting on Tuesday, as Canyon View made off with an 8-2 win. Will the Falcons repeat their success, or do the Hawks have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
