Recap: Olean Huskies vs. Otto-Eldred Terrors
The Olean Huskies's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their fourth straight loss dating back to last season. Their2023 ended with a 57-42 defeat against Otto-Eldred.
Otto-Eldred's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Kate Rhinehart, who scored 15 points along with five rebounds and three steals. Those 15 points set a new season-high mark for her. The team also got some help courtesy of Ayla Van Scoter, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 13 rebounds.
Olean's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Otto-Eldred, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 7-4.
Olean will be playing at home against Wellsville at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Wellsville is looking to tack on another W to their three-game streak on the road. Otto-Eldred will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Coudersport at 7:00 p.m. on January 10, 2024.
