Marian Catholic made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Schuylkill Haven, but they still couldn't quite topple them. Marian Catholic fell just short of Schuylkill Haven by a score of 7-5 on Thursday. Marian Catholic's defeat signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.

DeAnna Pugh made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with three runs and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Hailey Treskolasky, who went 2-for-4 with one run and one RBI.

Marian Catholic's loss dropped their record down to 8-7. As for Schuylkill Haven, their record is now 12-6.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Marian Catholic will challenge Executive Education Academy Charter School at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
