Basketball Recap: Make It Four in a Row for Covington

Covington hadn't done well against Milford recently (they were 0-4 in their previous four matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Covington Owls came out on top in a nail-biter against the Milford Bulldogs, sneaking past 57-55. For the Owls, this counts as revenge for the 66-53 victory the Bulldogs walked away with the last time they faced one another back in December of 2023.

The win (which was Covington's fourth in a row) raised their record to 9-4. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.8 points per game. As for Milford, they now have a losing record at 2-3.

Covington will be home for the holidays to greet Blum at 1:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Milford, they are taking a road trip to face off against Bynum at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Milford knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past three matches -- so hopefully Bynum likes a good challenge.
