Basketball Recap: Pinewood Takes a Loss

Pinewood was the 66-57 winner over Harker when they last played one another back in February of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Pinewood Panthers took a 75-66 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Harker Eagles on Friday. The Panthers just can't catch a break and have now endured three losses in a row.

Rohit Yalla had a dynamite game for Harker, almost dropping a double-double on 25 points and nine rebounds. Those 25 points gave Yalla a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Vyom Vidyarthi, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and ten boards.

Pinewood's defeat dropped their record down to 9-5. As for Harker, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games, which provided a massive bump to their 9-6 record this season.

Pinewood will challenge Menlo School at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Menlo School has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 208 points over their last three contests. Harker has already played their next match, a 59-56 loss against Capuchino on the 18th.
