Basketball Recap: Archbishop Carroll Takes a Loss

Archbishop Carroll was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 13th straight defeat dating back to last season. They took a blow against the Paul VI Panthers, falling 62-22. The Lions were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 39-14.

Archbishop Carroll's loss dropped their record down to 0-12. As for Paul VI, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 13-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Archbishop Carroll will venture away from home to take on Bishop McNamara at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Bishop McNamara knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past eight matchups -- so hopefully Archbishop Carroll likes a good challenge. As for Paul VI, a feisty cat fight is on tap when the Paul VI Panthers face off against the Bishop Ireton Cardinals at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
