Dennis-Yarmouth Regional hadn't done well against Nantucket recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. The Dennis-Yarmouth Regional Dolphins skirted past the Nantucket Whalers 80-77. Given the Dolphins' advantage in MaxPreps' Massachusetts basketball rankings (they are ranked 88th, while the Whalers are ranked 217th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Dennis-Yarmouth Regional moved to 5-3 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak. As for Nantucket, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5.
