Neaya Richardson and Kelly Wong certainly did their best on Thursday to try and avoid the loss. Richardson scored a point along with 12 rebounds and six steals, while Wong scored nine points.
Hudson got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Grace Rutherford out in front who scored 11 points along with three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Leonna Hill, who scored eight points along with three steals.
Hernando Christian Academy's loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 6-10. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 22.0 points per game. As for Hudson, their victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-9.
Hernando Christian Academy will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Academy at the Lakes at 6:00 p.m. on January 19th.
