Preview: Ridge Christian Academy Eagles vs. Hillsborough Baptist Lions
The Ridge Christian Academy Eagles will head out on the road to face off against the Hillsborough Baptist Lions at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Ridge Christian Academy has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games.
Ridge Christian Academy fought the good fight in their overtime game against Candlelight Christian Academy on Thursday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They took a 64-59 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Flames. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Despite their loss, Ridge Christian Academy saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Daniel Garrido, who scored 20 points along with 6 rebounds, was perhaps the best of all. Gabriel Torres was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 17 points and 15 rebounds.
Hillsborough Baptist kicked off their season on the road two weeks ago and hit a couple of potholes. They were beaten by Geneva Classical Academy 59-19.
Florida College Academy's victory bumped their season record to 0-0 while Ridge Christian Academy's loss dropped theirs to 0-4.
