Basketball Recap: New Haven Takes a Loss

New Haven came into their game on Friday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They were outmatched by the Eastpointe Shamrocks and fell 64-23. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Rockets this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 55-32 back in January.

New Haven's loss dropped their record down to 5-10. As for Eastpointe, the victory (which was their ninth in a row) raised their record to 10-5.

The future could be bright for both New Haven and Eastpointe: their next opponents haven't had the best luck recently. New Haven will look to extend Sterling Heights Stevenson's ten-game losing streak when the meet at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Eastpointe will try to hand Madison their fifth-straight defeat when the two meet at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
