Baseball Recap: Maryville Christian Snaps Five-Game Streak of Wins at Home

The Maryville Christian Eagles didn't have quite enough to beat the Union County Patriots on Tuesday and fell 3-2.

Benjamin Paddock made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run while going 4-for-4.

Maryville Christian's defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 11-9. As for Union County, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 12-10-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Maryville Christian will venture away from home to take on Mount Pisgah Christian Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Maryville Christian is facing Mount Pisgah Christian Academy at the right time seeing as Mount Pisgah Christian Academy is stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Union County, they will square off against Knoxville Central at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
