Baseball Game Preview: Tatum Eagles vs. West Rusk Raiders

For the second straight game, Tatum will face off against West Rusk. Tatum will venture away from home to challenge West Rusk at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Tatum will be looking to extend their current seven-game winning streak.

For some reason, the away team has come away with the win the last three times Tatum and West Rusk have met, but the home crowd finally got their W on Tuesday. Tatum put the hurt on West Rusk with a sharp 10-1 win. The result was nothing new for the Eagles, who have now won eight contests by eight runs or more so far this season.

Cooper Whiteus was a standout: he scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-4. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in April of 2024. Dustin Henigan was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Tatum's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-4. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.4 runs on average over those games. As for West Rusk, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-9-1 record this season.
