Football Recap: Cabrillo Falls Short of Bishop Union in the Playoffs + How To Watch

Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Cabrillo couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They fell just short of the Bishop Union Broncos by a score of 22-19 on Friday. The matchup marked the Conquistadores' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Cabrillo's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Gabriel Barraza, who rushed for 30 yards and a pair of touchdowns, and Andrew Wallace, who rushed for 48 yards and one TD.

Emory Dondero was the offensive standout of the contest as he threw for 165 yards and a pair of TDs, and also rushed for 32 yards and one score. 105 of Dondero's passing yards were hauled in by Levi Derr.

Cabrillo's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 8-4. As for Bishop Union, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine games. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-3 record this season.

Cabrillo does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Bishop Union, they will square off against Liberty at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Broncos will need to watch out since the Hawks have now posted at least 31 points in their last ten matchups.
