Basketball Game Preview: Centerville Big Reds/Redettes vs. Albia Blue Demons

Centerville is 1-9 against Albia since December of 2021 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Big Reds/Redettes will head out to take on the Blue Demons at 7:45 p.m. Centerville knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past four contests -- so hopefully Albia likes a good challenge.

On Tuesday, Centerville beat Chariton 59-50. The Big Reds/Redettes haven't had any issues with the Chargers recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

Albia hadn't beaten Clarke on the road since December 14, 2021 but that history sure didn't bother them on Tuesday. The Blue Demons claimed a resounding 81-47 victory over the Indians.

Albia's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Centerville, their victory bumped their record up to 4-0.

Centerville couldn't quite finish off Albia in their previous meeting back in January and fell 54-52. Can the Big Reds/Redettes avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
