Edison barely beat Windsor Central the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Spartans blew past the Black Knights 10-4 on Tuesday. Considering the Spartans have won 15 matchups by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.
Rosie Wheeler spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and one unearned) runs on seven hits and racked up 11 Ks. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 11 consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Carissa Cowan was a standout: she went 1-for-3 with two runs, two RBI, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Bella Moffe, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with two RBI.
The win was the sixth in a row for Edison, bringing their record up to 16-3. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.7 runs on average over those games.
