Baseball Recap: Fayette County Tigers vs. South Lamar Stallions
After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Northside, Fayette County was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They walked away with an 8-4 win over the South Lamar Stallions. The Tigers haven't had any issues with the Stallions recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive victory against them.

Kason Rushing was incredible, going 3-for-4 with three runs, one triple, and two RBI. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Christian Armstrong, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 3-for-4.
Fayette County was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .393. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.
Fayette County's win bumped their record up to 4-11. As for South Lamar, their loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 1-5.
Looking ahead, Fayette County will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Curry at 4:30 p.m. As for South Lamar, they will head out to take on Pickens County at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
