It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Davis can now relate to. They lost 21-0 to the Vian Wolverines on Friday. The Wolves' defeat signaled the end of their eight-game winning streak.

Dax Owens threw for 67 yards on three of seven attempts.

It was another big night for Masyn Wright, who rushed for 196 yards and one score while picking up 9.3 yards per carry for Vian. That's the most rushing yards Wright has posted since back in September of 2024.

Davis' loss dropped their record down to 10-3. As for Vian, they pushed their record up to 12-1 with the victory, which was their eighth straight at home.
