Basketball Recap: Josh Winklosky's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Briar Woods over Lightridge

Briar Woods was the 61-40 winner over Lightridge when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. The Briar Woods Falcons fell to the Lightridge Bolts 67-62. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Friday (58), the Falcons still had to take the loss.

Several Falcons players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Josh Winklosky, who went 5-for-10 on his way to 13 points and eight rebounds. Winklosky is also on a roll when it comes to shooting accuracy, as he's posted one of at least 50% in the last five games he's played. Another player making a difference was Nick Donatella, who posted ten points.

Even though they lost, Briar Woods was working as a unit and finished the game with 18 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since back in January of 2024.

Briar Woods' defeat dropped their record down to 8-13. As for Lightridge, their record is now 4-15.
