Basketball Recap: St. Joseph's Win on Wednesday Extends Winning Streak to Two

Stamford came into Wednesday's contest looking for another win against St. Joseph, but TJ Wright wouldn't allow it. The St. Joseph Cadets came out on top in a nail-biter against the Stamford Black Knights on Wednesday, sneaking past 65-62 thanks in part to Wright, who went 6-for-14 en route to 18 points. The matchup was his third in a row with at least 18 points.

The win made it two in a row for St. Joseph and bumps their season record up to 8-12. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 71.5 points over those games. As for Stamford, they dropped their record down to 8-10 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road.

St. Joseph does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Stamford, they will venture away from home to take on Ridgefield at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. Ridgefield knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past four games -- so hopefully Stamford likes a good challenge.
