Basketball Recap: Calvary Baptist Falls Short of Sacred Heart in the Playoffs

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Calvary Baptist can now relate to. They lost to the Sacred Heart Indians at home by a 78-61 margin on Tuesday.

Several Eagles players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Cannon Hargrave, who posted 19 points and six rebounds. That's the most points Hargrave has posted since back in December of 2024. Max Guisler was another key player, putting up 15 points and six boards.

Even though they lost, Calvary Baptist smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 15 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive boards in four consecutive contests.

Calvary Baptist's loss dropped their record down to 23-6. As for Sacred Heart, their win bumped their record up to 14-6.
