Butte hadn't done well against Sentinel recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The Bulldogs sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 4-2 win over the Spartans. This was a revenge game for the Bulldogs: when they faced off against the Spartans last Monday, they had to take a 9-8 loss.

Brea Henderson spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on seven hits and racked up six Ks.

On the hitting side, Reese Johnson was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in May of 2025.

Butte's record now sits at 6-7. As for Sentinel, their defeat ended an 11-game streak of away wins and brought them to 16-2.

Coincidentally, Butte and Sentinel will both be playing Hellgate the next time they take the field. The Bulldogs will head out to face the Knights at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, while the Spartans will host them at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
