Greencastle takes loss despite strong efforts from Bailey Brown and Alexandra Dobbs

Recap: Greencastle Tiger Cubs vs. North Putnam Cougars
It was a good run, but the Greencastle Tiger Cubs unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Friday. They took a 59-47 hit to the loss column at the hands of North Putnam. Greencastle was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as North Putnam apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January of 2023.
Greencastle's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Alexandra Dobbs, who scored 18 points along with three steals, and Bailey Brown who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 11 rebounds. Dobbs hasn't dropped below two steals for three straight games. Madi Plew was another key contributor, scoring five points.
Greencastle's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 9-12. As for North Putnam, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 8-10.
Greencastle will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Monrovia at 7:30 p.m. on January 23rd. North Putnam won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Western Boone at 1:30 p.m. on January 13th. Hopefully Western Boone focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 16 on Friday.
