Basketball Game Preview: Quinter Bulldogs vs. Hoxie Indians

Quinter is 1-9 against Hoxie since December of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Quinter Bulldogs will venture away from home to challenge the Hoxie Indians at 7:30 p.m. Quinter is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 50.8 points per game this season.

Last Tuesday, everything came up roses for Quinter against Golden Plains as the team secured a 61-34 win. With Quinter ahead 37-14 at the half, the match was all but over already.

Shea S Salyers was his usual excellent self, going 8 of 12 on his way to 19 points. Colt Werth was another key player, going 6 for 9 en route to 15 points.

Meanwhile, Hoxie was able to grind out a solid victory over Russell on Tuesday, taking the game 48-36. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Indians.

Hoxie has also been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 8-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.2 points per game. As for Quinter, their record now sits at 8-5.

Quinter beat Hoxie 49-37 in their previous matchup back in January of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for Quinter since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
