Volleyball Recap: Carolina Day Takes a Loss

If Carolina Day was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Spartanburg Day on Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Wildcats lost 3-0 to the Rabun Gap-Nacoochee Eagles on Tuesday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in August.

While Carolina Day was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Rabun Gap-Nacoochee's winning margin in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 25-14, 25-15.

Among those leading the charge was Emberlyn Casebolt, who had eight digs and four aces.

Carolina Day's defeat dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Rabun Gap-Nacoochee, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-5.

Carolina Day wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 loss against Tri-Cities Christian on the 22nd. As for Rabun Gap-Nacoochee, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against Carmel Christian on the 19th.
