Softball Recap: Mountainside Triumphs

It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Mountainside ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. They skirted past the Wilsonville Wildcats 5-4. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Mavericks as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Libby Wilson was excellent, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-4.

Mountainside's win bumped their record up to 2-4. As for Wilsonville, they now have a losing record of 2-3.

Coming up, Mountainside will challenge Hillsboro at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Wilsonville has already played their next matchup (against Tigard), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
