Basketball Recap: Palos Verdes Takes a Loss

Palos Verdes lost against Redondo Union back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Palos Verdes Sea Kings were dealt a 101-34 loss at the hands of the Redondo Union Sea Hawks. While losing is never fun, the Sea Kings can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 225th, while the Sea Hawks are ranked fourth).

Palos Verdes is on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 11-10. As for Redondo Union, they pushed their record up to 18-2 with the victory, which was their 17th straight at home dating back to last season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Palos Verdes will challenge Peninsula at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Palos Verdes is facing Peninsula at the right time seeing as Peninsula is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Redondo Union, they will face off against Mira Costa at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Redondo Union's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.
