Basketball Game Preview: Rich Township Raptors vs. Kankakee Kays

Rich Township is 2-8 against Kankakee since February of 2021 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Rich Township Raptors are taking a road trip to challenge the Kankakee Kays at 6:30 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Last Monday, Rich Township came up short against Bloom and fell 52-41.

Meanwhile, Kankakee also suffered a loss in their last game, but this one to Morris by a score of 52-42.

Kankakee's defeat dropped their record down to 15-11. As for Rich Township, their loss ended a nine-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 18-8.

Rich Township beat Kankakee 50-40 in their previous meeting back in December of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for Rich Township since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
