With a playoff win on the line, Piedmont rose to the challenge on Wednesday. They came out on top against the Geraldine Bulldogs by a score of 54-41. For Piedmont, this counts as revenge for the 71-50 victory Geraldine walked away with the last time they faced one another back in February of 2024.

Piedmont is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 18-9 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.0 points over those games. As for Geraldine, their loss dropped their record down to 21-9.

Looking ahead, Piedmont will challenge Glencoe on Tuesday. Glencoe knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past 12 contests -- so hopefully Piedmont likes a good challenge. Geraldine does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
