Basketball Recap: HRK Takes a Loss

HRK easily dispatched Oakhill Christian back in December of 2024, but unfortunately both the margin and the ultimate result were a different story in this one. The HRK Eagles fell just short of the SWCHA S Saints by a score of 73-70 on Saturday. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 75-64 back in November of 2024.

SWCHA S had a senior duo take command as Jamal Pickering dropped a double-double on 28 points and 13 boards and Elliot Priebe went 7 of 13 from beyond the arc on his way to 25 points and six rebounds. Those 28 points gave Pickering a new career-high. Eric Smith also deserves some recognition as he posted his first block of the season.

HRK now has a losing record at 2-3. As for SWCHA S, their record is now 9-4.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Northeast Wisconsin Christian HomeSchool the next time they take the court. HRK will host Northeast Wisconsin Christian HomeSchool at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, while SWCHA S will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
