Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Lowell couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They took a 4-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lincoln Mustangs on Wednesday. The Cardinals' defeat signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

Emerson Sakai made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one triple and one run. That triple was his first of the season.

Lowell's loss dropped their record down to 21-9. As for Lincoln, they now have a winning record of 16-15.

As of now, neither Lowell nor the Mustangs have any future games scheduled.
