Philipsburg-Osceola came out on top against Central on Tuesday thanks in part to the team's impressive five-run third inning. The Mountaineers' pitcher stepped up to hand the Dragons a 10-0 shutout. Philipsburg-Osceola hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Central struck out six times.

The victory was the third in a row for Philipsburg-Osceola, bringing their record up to 7-3. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for Central, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 3-7.
