Basketball Recap: Roane County Picks Up Second Consecutive Win

Roane County won the last time they faced Braxton County and Anna Tolley did her part to make sure it happened again. The Raiders blew past the Eagles 56-23 on Thursday with plenty of help from Tolley, who went 9-for-17 en route to 31 points along with seven rebounds and five steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Roane County's points.

Ella Keen was another key player, putting up nine points and five steals. She is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in each of the last three games she's played.

The victory made it two in a row for Roane County and bumps their season record up to 6-3. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 49 points in those games. As for Braxton County, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-6.
