Pomeroy is a perfect 10-0 against Garfield-Palouse since April of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Saturday. The Pomeroy Pirates will host the Garfield-Palouse Vikings at 11:00 a.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Pomeroy fought the good fight in their extra-innings game against Prairie on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They came up short against Prairie, falling 14-5.

Pomeroy saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Gunner Magill, who scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. Another was Cesar Morphin, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-4.

Meanwhile, Garfield-Palouse had to start their season on the road on Monday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They lost 18-2 to Kendrick. The Vikings haven't had much luck with the Tigers recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Everything went Pomeroy's way against Garfield-Palouse in their previous meeting back in April of 2024, as Pomeroy made off with a 13-0 win. Will Pomeroy repeat their success, or does Garfield-Palouse have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
