Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Hampden). They walked away with an 11-6 victory over the Messalonskee Eagles on Monday. That's two games straight that the Broncos have won by exactly five runs.

Hampden let Kaysen Wildman and Andrew Cote run wild. Wildman went 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs, while Cote got on base in all four of his plate appearances with three runs, three RBI, and one double. That's the most RBI Cote has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Rogan Lord, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

Hampden always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .529. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Messalonskee only posted an OBP of .364.

Hampden now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Messalonskee, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 4-1.

Hampden wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 2-1 win against Mount Desert Island on the 9th. As for Messalonskee, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 14-9 victory against Lewiston on the 7th.
