Softball Recap: Clearfield Picks Up Seventh Straight Win at Home

There's no place like home for Clearfield, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Thursday. Everything went their way against the Bishop Guilfoyle Marauders on Tuesday as Clearfield made off with a 14-3 win.

The team relied heavily on Aevril Hayward, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 3-for-3. That's the most hits she has posted since back in April of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Haley Billotte, who went 2-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.

Clearfield's victory was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 2-1. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.4 runs over those games. As for Bishop Guilfoyle, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Clearfield will venture away from home to face off against Tyrone at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Bishop Guilfoyle, they will head out to take on Central at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
