Soccer Recap: Mt. St. Joseph Academy Takes a Loss

Mt. St. Joseph Academy fell victim to Gwynedd Mercy Academy and their airtight defense on Friday. They fell just short of the Monarchs by a score of 1-0. While losing is never fun, Mt. St. Joseph Academy can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania soccer rankings (they are ranked 226th, while Gwynedd Mercy Academy are ranked 51st).

Mt. St. Joseph Academy has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last eight matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-12-3 record this season. As for Gwynedd Mercy Academy, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 17-3-2.

As of now, neither Mt. St. Joseph Academy nor the Monarchs have any future games scheduled.
