Claysburg-Kimmel strolled into their game on Tuesday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They put the hurt on the Mount Union Trojans with a sharp 11-3 victory. Considering the Bulldogs have won 12 games by more than six runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Claysburg-Kimmel got a massive performance out of Payton Hinish, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, two stolen bases, and three runs. That's the most runs Hinish has posted since back in April of 2024. Jaylee Swindell was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and one stolen base.

They weren't the only ones working in the home run department: Claysburg-Kimmel lost a few balls and finished the game with three home runs. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Mount Union didn't launched any home runs.

Claysburg-Kimmel's win was their tenth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 17-0. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.0 runs over those games. As for Mount Union, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-12.

Coming up, Claysburg-Kimmel will be playing at home against Northern Bedford County at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Bulldogs' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Panthers have averaged an impressive 7 runs per game this season. As for Mount Union, they will head out to challenge Glendale at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
