Brooks DeBartolo Collegiate is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Monday. They walked away with a 74-61 victory over Bishop McLaughlin Catholic. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Phoenix.

Meanwhile, Bell Creek Academy suffered their closest loss since January 6, 2024 on Saturday. They fell just short of Mainland by a score of 72-69. The Panthers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Brooks DeBartolo Collegiate will have to contain Lyrique Sartin as he made an impact in Bell Creek Academy's last game. He dropped a double-double on 30 points and ten rebounds. Sartin's afternoon made it 22 games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Armani Morris, who posted ten points along with seven steals and six boards.

Even though they lost, Bell Creek Academy was working as a unit and finished the game with 19 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Mainland only racked up 12 assists.

Brooks DeBartolo Collegiate is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 16-9 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.0 points per game. As for Bell Creek Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-10.
