Baseball Game Preview: Ridgeview Wolf Pack vs. Banning Pilots

The Ridgeview Wolf Pack will take on the Banning Pilots at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. Ridgeview is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last 12 games.

Ridgeview is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They skirted past Estancia 7-5.

Ben Castro made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing 6.2 innings while giving up five earned runs off five hits. Castro was also big at the plate, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two RBI and one double.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Mason Refuerzo, who went 1-for-2 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. That triple marked the first that he has hit this season. Keisyun Allen was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two runs.

Meanwhile, Banning won against Lemoore on Tuesday with three runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Thursday. The Pilots beat Rancho Mirage by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 3-2. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Pilots.

Angelo Duarte was excellent, going 2-for-3 with three RBI and two doubles. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in February. The team also got some help courtesy of Pedro Ibanez-Eddy, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with one run.

Banning pushed their record up to 24-9 with the win, which was their eighth straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.1 runs over those games. As for Ridgeview, their record is now 23-11.
