Softball Recap: Desert Chapel Comes Up Short

Desert Chapel was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They lost 15-5 to the Loma Linda Academy Roadrunners. That's two games in a row now that the Eagles have lost by exactly ten runs.

Desert Chapel's loss dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Loma Linda Academy, they pushed their record up to 9-3 with the victory, which was their 12th straight on the road dating back to last season.

Desert Chapel will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Public Safety Academy at 3:30 p.m. on May 6. As for Loma Linda Academy, they will head out to square off against Saddleback at 3:00 p.m. on Monday. Saddleback has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 19.6 runs per game on average), something Loma Linda Academy will no doubt try to take advantage of.
