Basketball Recap: Jace Nix Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Bennett County

Jones County lost to Bennett County back in January, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Friday. The Jones County Coyotes came out on top against the Bennett County Warriors by a score of 48-39. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Coyotes.

Jones County's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jace Nix, who posted 17 points along with eight rebounds and five steals. Nix is becoming a predictor of Jones County's success: when he posts at least three steals the team is 5-2 (and 2-9 when he doesn't). Bryer Kinsley was another key player, putting up 17 points in addition to five boards and three steals.

Jones County picked up their first road win, bumping their record up to 7-11. As for Bennett County, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-13 record this season.

Jones County didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 50-39 defeat against Hitchcock-Tulare on the 22nd. Bennett County does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
